Tambar Springs Public School held our Charity Golf Day at Gunnedah Golf Course. It was a beautiful day for a round of golf! We were very fortunate for a spring day, after the early morning rain. 44 very keen golfers teed off, some were masters of the game, some were novices and the youngest child-golfer was only two years old and came 4th in the Ambrose Event (It helps when dad is the Golf Pro). All the players were keen to get on the course and rev up their golf buggies to support our school. The Gunnedah Golf Course was well manicured with lush greens in abundance and shade areas for waiting golfers. Many golfers were buzzing around in their golf buggies having a very enjoyable time and they created a wonderful atmosphere.
By all accounts a fantastic day was had by all in attendance with brilliant weather, fantastic company, a scrumptious BBQ lunch and a group of happy golfers; the day was highly successful for Tambar Springs Public School.
Congratulations to all the teams, winners and participants – well done, we hope you all enjoy your fabulous prizes. The school would like to thank everyone for their support, it was fantastic. Not only did we receive the support of The Gunnedah Golf Club but also 10 of the 18 holes were generously sponsored by local and surrounding businesses. The prizes this year for gifts and the raffle were donated by businesses in and around the local and wider community. To all of these businesses we are extremely grateful and to the wonderful players who generously bought tickets in our 100 club and raffles.
